Weekly Update 11th October

Weekly Update October 11

Last Sunday Robyn preaches on the Mark 10 reading and mentioned the three different themes in there

  1. The testing of Jesus, by the Pharisees about divorce
  2. The questioning by the disciples about Jesus’ answers to the Pharisees
  3. The anointing of the children

She concluded with the final quote, linked with the Hebrews reading about how God renews our lives.

‘Identity theft occurs when someone steals your name and other information for fraudulent use. The surprising reality, however, is that Christians are by definition, people who have someone else’s identity, namely Jesus Christ Not only have you been given an identity that you weren’t born with or that you didn’t earn the right to use, but you’re invited to ….use all the benefits this identity brings. This is so much better than identity theft – it is identity gift!’

On Sunday Robyn will lead the service, Sally will preach and Paul and band will lead the music. We look forward to seeing you all then!
