Weekly Update August 28
What a great night we had on Sunday. The worship was so joyful and full of praise. Thank you to the worship team. Gill spoke on our Ephesians passage and mentioned these points which should be so meaningful to each of us.
- We are sons and daughters of the King of Kings
- We are Beloved by Christ and co-heirs with Him
- We are Fearless in Him
- We can be strong in the Lord and in His Mighty Power
- We do NOT need to live out the hurt, pain, fear, guilt and self deception that is so often in our lives. Look at the points above!!!
- We need to put away criticism and grumbling
Many people expressed that they were really blessed by the prayer in the service and the communion service.
We look forward to seeing you along at F5 at 5 on Sunday when Robyn will be leading the communion service, Sally is preaching and Paul and Co leading music.

* Pray for those affected by drought especially those in NSW and Qld, for farmers and their families, for hay carters and for rural communities. Thank God for the rain this week. Continue to pray for rain which is so desperately needed.
*Pray for SRE in schools throughout the region, for the SRE teachers, for the High School SRE coordinator Jen Schabel and the Primary SRE coordinator Mick Hookham
*For those who are sick, especially remembering Jim who has been in and out of hospital, Gordon, Terence, Jim and Shirley who will be having surgery next week.
*Pray for the pastoral care workers in our hospitals
*Thank God for all those who work so diligently to make F5 happen.
*For Little Sheep and 3D as they meet on Wednesdays and for Sally and her teams.
*Pray that God will open up areas for other members of F5 to be using their gifts.

– volunteer at the Bookshop or the Artisan’s Table
– join Gill for prayer from 2.30 on Sundays or join setup team from 3.30
3D Kids is on a Wednesday afternoon.
Little Sheep runs every Wednesday morning at Christ Church. All Mums and preschoolers are welcome. We always welcome new helpers.
Please cover both of these activities in prayer. Pray for families who will bring their children, and for children attending that they will hear the good news of Jesus. Pray for safety and harmony in the running of the program and pray for Sally and her team that what they say and do will be to God’s glory.
F5 Team
The F5 Team is now comprised of Robyn and Paul Baxter (Lead pastors), Gill Varcoe, Sally Cullen and Ruth and Don Elder. Karen and Ken King have now stood down to concentrate more on their ministry in Collector. We thank them for all they have done at F5 and look forward to seeing them at times at F5. Please pray for Karen’s Dad who is very sick.

We are having a Christian SRE thanksgiving and commissioning service for Mick Hookham at Christ Church West Goulburn on Sunday 16th September at 2pm. It would be great if some of you could come along to support Mick in this
Watoto Children’s Choir
On Wednesday, August 29, the Watoto Children’s Choir will be at St Bart’s in Crookwell. This is a free concert, with the opportunity to make a donation or buy a CD.The choir is made of Ugandan orphans who sing amazingly and are raising money for their community.
St Michael’s Vaucluse Convention Day is on Saturday, September 28th, 9.30 – 3,30pm. See brochure on back table.
Women’s Winter Worship is on Friday night, 31st August 7-9pm, Bradfordville Public School – 10/30 Hampden Street, Goulburn
Men’s Fellowship, Goulburn Soldier’s Club, Merino Room, September 16th at 6.30pm
