Weekly Update September 13
KISORO PROJECT
On Sunday night at F5 we heard some very interesting stories from Sally, Kathy, Phil and Roger of their time in Kisoro. As a supporting congregation we now need to determine if there are some ways we can continue to support the Twa people. Thank you Sally, Roger, Phil and Kathy for the time you spent there and for sharing with us.
Prayer Points
*Our new Prime Minister, Scott Morrison and deputy Josh Frydenberg. Remember: In the AM pray for our PM.
* Pray for those affected by drought especially those in NSW and Qld, for farmers and their families, for hay carters and for rural communities. Continue to pray for rain which is so desperately needed.
*Pray for SRE in schools throughout the region, for the SRE teachers, for the High School SRE coordinator Jen Schabel and the Primary SRE coordinator Mick Hookham
*For those who are sick, especially remembering Jim who has been in hospital, Gordon, Terence, Jim, John K and Shirley who will be having surgery next week.
*Pray for the pastoral care workers in our hospitals
*Thank God for all those who work so diligently to make F5 happen.
*For Little Sheep and 3D as they meet on Wednesdays and for Sally and her teams.
*Pray that God will open up areas for other members of F5 to be using their gifts.
Opportunities to help at F5
– join the kitchen team. We now are in DESPERATE need of people to volunteer here. Please speak to Robyn if you can help, Thank you to those who offered last Sunday.
– train for AV setup or to run PowerPoint
– volunteer at the Bookshop or the Artisans’ Table
– join Gill for prayer from 2.30 on Sundays or join setup team from 3.30
-Be encouragers of each other
F5 Happenings
3D Kids is on a Wednesday afternoon.
Little Sheep runs every Wednesday morning at Christ Church. All Mums and preschoolers are welcome. We always welcome new helpers.
Please cover both of these activities in prayer. Pray for families who will bring their children, and for children attending that they will hear the good news of Jesus. Pray for safety and harmony in the running of the program and pray for Sally and her team that what they say and do will be to God’s glory.
F5 Team
The F5 Team is now comprised of Robyn and Paul Baxter (Lead pastors), Gill Varcoe, Sally Cullen and Ruth and Don Elder. Karen and Ken King have now stood down to concentrate more on their ministry in Collector. We thank them for all they have done at F5 and look forward to seeing them at times at F5. Please pray for Karen and the family as her Dad passed away peacefully this week. The funeral will be held on Monday, 17th.
F10 meets on Mondays at Mandelsons 10am. Contact Robyn 0414254154

Commissioning
We are having a Christian SRE thanksgiving and commissioning service for Mick Hookham at Christ Church West Goulburn on Sunday 16th September at 2pm. It would be great if some of you could come along to support Mick in this.
